Jon Gegenheimer has served as the clerk of court for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana since 1988. He has received numerous state and federal awards for his innovative work in court and elections administration.
Before assuming elective office, Mr. Gegenheimer served in the U.S. Army Reserve as an interrogator and counter-intelligence specialist. He also practiced law at the state and federal levels while gaining recognition as a distinguished member of the bar.
In 2005, the respected justice administrator began his first novel, The Second Hill, an epic story that he finished and had published in 2011. He followed that ambitious project with The Griffin Murders (2016), The Canon Code (2021), and his latest, most consequential work, Churchill vs. Hitler, a unique piece of alternative fiction (2023) that has garnered wide acclaim in New Orleans literary circles and promises to earn high praise far beyond the Crescent City.
All of those compelling works are described below. Taken together, they clearly establish that Mr. Gegenheimer is an accomplished writer of serious literary fiction and alternative history – sure to entertain, awaken, educate, and delight his readers.
